Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Split & Inline Translate is a Chrome extension for reading webpages with Word, Inline, Split, Hover, Auto, and AutoX translation assistance. This policy describes the current extension build.

N·1Information stored locally

The extension stores these values in the browser:

N·2Translation requests

When you activate a translation mode, the extension sends the minimum text or URL required by that mode to Google translation services. This can include selected text, text segments from the page, or the page URL for Split mode. Google handles those requests under its own privacy policy.

N·3Pro licensing

When you enter a Pro license key, the extension sends the license key and an opaque installation identifier to Lemon Squeezy's License API at api.lemonsqueezy.com to activate, validate, or deactivate the device.

The licensing service does not receive page URLs, page content, translation text, or browsing history. Customer name and email fields returned by the provider are discarded and are not stored by the extension.

N·4Information we do not collect

N·5Permissions

The extension uses webpage access for its reading modes, tabs and system.display for Split mode, storage for local preferences and quota state, scripting for local reading scripts, sidePanel for the local side panel, and webNavigation to react to opted-in single-page-app route changes. Browser-internal pages are excluded by runtime guards.

N·6Contact

For privacy questions or corrections, email contact@quoc.app.

The current release candidate uses the published LIVE Lemon Squeezy catalog for Pro checkout and license validation. Terms, refund, support, and seller disclosures are separate release metadata and are not stored or processed by the extension.
